Australian Wagyu Picanha (Gold Label BMS 8/9)
Also known as the Rump Cap or Coulotte, Wagyu Picanha is a staple in Brazilian steakhouses and a favorite among serious steak lovers. This cut comes from the sirloin cap, prized for its tenderness, deep beefy flavor, and signature fat cap that crisps beautifully when grilled.
Rated with a Beef Marble Score of 8–9, this Gold Label Australian Wagyu rivals Japanese A4 Wagyu in both richness and texture. The intense marbling melts into the meat, creating a buttery-soft bite with bold, mouthwatering flavor.
What sets this apart? It's purebred Wagyu—75% or higher Japanese genetics—offering a noticeable upgrade from standard F1 Wagyu (50/50 crossbreed).
Why You'll Love It:
-
Imported Australian Wagyu – Gold Label BMS 8/9
-
Purebred Wagyu genetics (75%+ Japanese lineage)
-
Comparable marbling to Japanese A4 Wagyu
-
Tender and juicy with a rich beef-forward bite
-
Ideal for grilling whole, slicing into steaks, or smoking
Cooking Tips:
Best served medium-rare to highlight its natural tenderness. Grill whole like a Brazilian churrasco or slice thick and reverse sear. Always rest and slice against the grain.
If you love Ribeye or NY Strip, this is a must-try cut. Perfect for gatherings, grilling season, or stealing the show at your next dinner party.

Premium Meats and Top Notch Customer Service
From the moment I unwrapped the package, I could tell that this was premium beef. The marbling was vivid and enticing, promising a melt-in-your-mouth experience. When cooked, it delivered just that. Grilled to perfection, the Picanha was juicy and flavorful, with just the right amount of seasoning enhancing its natural taste. It was a hit at my dinner table, leaving all my guests raving about the flavor profile and tenderness of the meat.
Equally impressive was the customer service I received from Josh at Ligma Provision. From my initial inquiry to the final purchase, Josh was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. He took the time to guide me through the different cuts they offer and provided excellent cooking tips that truly elevated my experience. It’s rare to find such a passionate and dedicated representative who genuinely cares about customer satisfaction.
Not only did Josh ensure my order was fulfilled promptly, but he also followed up to see how I enjoyed the beef, which is a nice touch that speaks volumes about Ligma Provision's commitment to customer service.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for top-notch Australian Wagyu Picanha, I wholeheartedly recommend Ligma Provision. The quality of the beef is simply unparalleled, and the excellent customer service from Josh makes the entire experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to order again and explore more of what they have to offer.

Fantastic quality, even better customer service!
The marbling on the Australian Silver Label NY Strip was way better than expected, will be ordering a Gold Label 1/2 loin when I've run through these. A5 Ribeye Cap is as to be expected and did not disappoint. After breaking down the Australian Gold Label Picanha I was pleased to see such a normally lean cut heavily marbled with large veins of intermuscular fat. The biggest surprise though was the Zabuton, another Australian Gold Label this cut was more similar to A5 pure breed wagyu than I've ever seen. I won't source my Australiana and Japanese Wagyu from another online vendor again, as such I highly recommend them.
Cheers! 🥃
