A4

A4 Japanese Wagyu is one step below A5 — still in the top tier of Japanese grading, with BMS 5–7 marbling. It delivers the unmistakable buttery Wagyu texture with cleaner beef flavor, often at 20–30% less per ounce than A5.

Why A4 Is the Smart Entry Point

For first-time Japanese Wagyu buyers, A4 is the better starting point. A5's intensity can be overwhelming if you're used to American steaks; A4 gives you the marbling and tenderness with more recognizable beef flavor. Most repeat Japanese Wagyu customers cycle between A4 and A5 depending on the occasion.

Brands We Carry

Our A4 selection includes Satsuma (Kagoshima Prefecture) and other rotating Japanese brands. Every cut is certificate-backed with full provenance documentation.
