From the olive groves of Shodoshima Island comes a true rarity — Sanuki Olive-Fed A4 Ribeye. These purebred Japanese Black cattle are raised on a sustainable diet enriched with olive mash — the byproduct of premium olive oil production — giving the beef its signature flavor and marbling.
The unique feed blend of olive pulp, rice straw, and barley enhances the beef’s oleic acid content, resulting in an exceptionally tender texture and a buttery finish with subtle notes of olive oil richness.
Compared to the A5 grade, this A4 Ribeye strikes a perfect harmony — offering more beef-forward umami with slightly leaner marbling for a refined, balanced bite. It’s deeply flavorful, clean on the palate, and prized for its healthful fat composition.
Sustainably raised, exquisitely rare, and produced in limited quantities, this is one of Japan’s most coveted wagyu varieties.
Each order includes a Certificate of Authenticity verifying its genuine Shodoshima Island origin.
