Takamori aka “Drunken Wagyu” by Nori Namumoto. This particular wagyu originates from Iwakuni farm, home to a production of 200 Takamori cattle - two heads of cattle are exported to the US each year. Not only are the genetics of this cattle exclusive, some clues also lie in its name.

Why is it called Drunken Wagyu? No, these cattle are no fed beer. Instead the cattle are fed a sake byproduct or sake mash from Dassai - Asahi Brewery. The result produces a mild and silky flavor.

Takamori beef is also known for higher unsaturated fatty acids when compared with typical A5 Japanese Wagyu on average. This is regarded as one of the best artisanal wagyu currently offered.

Experience an unparalleled flavor. Try Takamori Drunken Wagyu and see for yourself.

With over 300 brands of wagyu throughout Japan, each with its distinct and unique flavor characteristics, less than 5% of all US imported A5 are labeled as BMS 12 - the highest score given.

Amazing 🤤

Sooo good. Never had A5 before and simply amazing. Not someone who was ever a big fan of pure fat, as some love to eat the eye of prime rib with some salt. This cut has the perfect ratio of meat to fat so when cooked to desired temp the flavor is beyond amazing. Will be ordering again!!! If you think this is too fatty I would recommend not spending the high cost on the a5 with a marble score such as this

This was a great steak. A little too much fat for my liking but was still awesome
